Hi, both computers are in the same LAN. Is the complete connection always via internet or only the handshake to establish the connection? Could I connect using IP to connect in my intranet? So I cloud use VPN. thx Juergen
Hello Mueller, yes, you need to have active internet connection to use Parallels Access. No, using Parallels Access through intranet is not possible.
Sorry to thread-hijack...but, being of relevance & seeing as this this thread isn't quite yet 2mo old.... Ajith/"Parallels Support", in regard to the statement, "No, using Parallels Access through intranet is not possible.": Does this mean, if the Host Machine/Agent resides on the same LAN/subnet, then you cannot connect to the Parallels Access Agent? Or, is it just that both Client & Host/Access Agent need internet access, without regard of where they reside?
If both host device and the remote device which has agent reside on same LAN/subnet it can connect provided both devices needs to have access to the internet. As the connection is only established through Parallels Access server.
