Hi, I like using coherence for parallels 10 on my MBP 15" i7 16GB Ram. I use windows for development running VS2013 and SQL Server 2014. Unsurprisingly performance is not as good as a native windows machine with the same specs but I was wondering if Coherence mode reduces or improves performance and if there are any other tips to get the best out of the performance of the VM (I am happy for the performance to be reduced in OSX while Parallels is running) Cheers, Kevin.
Hello KevinP1, Coherence will not affect the performance of your Virtual machine. Please follow the steps as given below to resolve the issue : 1. Follow the steps in the KB article http://kb.parallels.com/en/122767 and check how it works! 2. And please increase the RAM size and CPU as in the KB article http://kb.parallels.com/en/112091 3. Also follow the steps as suggested at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and check how it works!
Support is lying. the same system works fine in full screen, but in Coherence it is sluggish as for me on PD13.
