Unable to install NetRunner 17, 64-bit (Linux) from external DVD drive

Discussion in 'Linux Virtual Machine' started by Parallels User, Dec 3, 2015.

  1. I am unable to install the .iso to my Macbook Pro, using an external drive. Parallels also did not 'see' the (ISO) image file stored in the Downloads folder, in other words, Parallels did not see any file to use to create the virtual machine, from .iso files in two different places. The external device has been verified for both DVDs and audio CDs.

Same problem here. Netrunner is an interesting Distro, because it provides very good KDE support...

    Hey Folks,
I am trying Netrunner Live 18.03 on Parallels 13 and it crashes to the prompt while trying to start X. I have tried various settings.
    Any ideas?
So far I am very unhappy with Parallels 13 as I have had to futz around to get several Linux distros to run. It won't run Redcore as it recognizes the iso as MacOS and then the install fails. I have been running Parallels for a long time and never have had anywhere near this much trouble.
    Y'all take care,
    Robert
