So i have desktop problems on parallels. The windows background starts to go black over ikons and when I move the mouse around it makes more go black or black and white stripes???

Screen shot attached. This only happens on my laptop display not my external monitor Screen Shot 2017-03-01 at 17.02.25.png

    Hi
None of that applies to me. Nothing installed like that. My adapter is shared with parallels

I'm seeing this issue as well. Just imported the VM and installed Parallels tools a couple of hours ago.

Hi @matthewh4 would you please create a new Windows virtual machine and check whether the issue persists or not. If your new virtual machine is working fine then log into the existing virtual machine and generate the problem report using this KB article and reply us back with the report ID.

This may be due to problem in monitor cable. May be the cable is not installed properly or may the cable is having some issue with transmission. Check this link to get rid of any cable installation issue or to test your cable - http://www.flukenetworks.com/installation-and-test

its 100% not a cable fault. First thing i checked. or a monitor fault

It only happens when in parallels not when im on OSX

Try to increase the graphics memory allocated under VM configuration > Hardware also try disabling 3D Acceleration and check.
