I've recently upgraded to Parallels 11 and MacOS El Capitan. After the upgrade, my Guest OS (Ubuntu) is responding to the keyboard with a tiny, but just visible delay. This is across all applications in the VM (which I'm running in full screen). The problem even shows up when X isn't running. The delay is just big enough to make the machine "feel" unresponsive. The previous version of Parallels that I was using (9) did not have this problem. I've installed Parallels Tools, apparently successfully. The host OS does not have the same problem. The version of Parallels Desktop I'm using is 11.1.3 My version of Ubuntu is 14.04. If there are any pointers toward debugging (and fixing) the problem I'd love to hear it.
Hi, Go to Virtual machine > configure > Hardware > Mouse & Keyboard and change Keyboard settings to 'optimize or do not optimize for games' and check.
Although it wasn't entirely clear to me from the above whether "optimize for games" or "do not optimize for games" was the desired setting, I have now tested with both; however, there is no noticeable difference. Do you have any other suggestions?
