The following KB details how to create a package to update Mac OS X to a new version (the KB shows how to get to Sierra, but it works for High Sierra as well with a few minor modifications):

    https://kb.parallels.com/en/123992

I was able to get this to work successfully, however it prompts the user multiple times before continuing (it basically launches the update the same as if you manually launched it from Applications or from "App Store > Updates"). Does anyone know if there is a way to create an unattended/silent update of the OS? In other words I would like to schedule the update to run at say 10:00pm on a Mac workstation and have it kick off and run the update/reboot overnight without any user interaction.

    Thanks!
