Date Countdown update automatically

I created a date countdown for when I return to school however the number of days remaining does not automatically update. To get the current number of days, I have to go into the Date Countdown Properties and click Done again. Enable the pinned tool to automatically update without requiring the user to go back into Preferences for the tool. According the the updates log this issue occurred before and it was fixed:

• Resolves an issue with the icon of the Date Countdown tool showing the incorrect number of days remaining

The issue is clearly back on Version 1.7.0 (1026)
