I use the latest Parallels and just installed Office 2007. Since then the CPU is always in 80-100 % use by Parallels (using VPN). I am only having Outlook 2007 open.

I am using C2D mac Book Pro with 2 GB memory.

Is this normal? I am using 612 mb as memory for Parallels.

    Please reply.

Are you using an exchange server ? I had this issue, whilst Outlook downloaded my mail from the server. once it was done, it went back to around 5%

I'm using office 2007 (including oulook against pop and exchange servers) and it runs fine once booted. Takes longer to boot XP since I installed office 07 and I cant explain that, but once it's going it seems fine.

I am using Exchange sserver. It seems that Outlook 2007 is making my MBP work a lot harder than Outlook 2003. I wan´t to use 2007 version since it´s getting closer to Mac.

But activity monitor says it´s on 80-100 % most of the time.

Do you have Windows Desktop Search installed? That makes a big difference.
