I installed High Sierra Beta 5 last night and can confirm that the latest Parallels no longer gives errors - ie. it now works! Thanks Parallels and Apple !

Beta 5 fixed it, you can turn SIP back on.

Does this mean that with Beta 5 and Parallels 12.2.1 we can expect virtual machines to work, even ones on Boot Camp partitions?

Parallels Desktop 12 (12.2.1) an macOS High Sierra 10.13 (17A330h).
Reboots into boot drive instead of rebooting into installer.
Tried manually selecting boot drive, but installer partition does not show.
Tried with SIP disabled (which is stupid), and SIP enabled, on both host and VM, no luck.
Where do you guys have the step by step for getting High Sierra installed into a VM?

Still not able to create a new BOOTCAMP based VM in 10.13 beta 5.

As High Sierra is not released officially it is not one of the Guest OS's supported in Parallels Desktop 12. You can try creating a Sierra VM then you can try upgrading it to High Sierra.

As High Sierra is not released officially it is not supported by us and you cannot use Bootcamp based virtual machine on it. You can create a problem report and share it with us which can be shared with our development team for analysis.

Tried. Doesn't work. What steps did your blogger follow?
We're not looking for any commitment on support, until High Sierra is finally released.
But, given we invested in 3,000+ seats, any usable guidance would be highly welcome. :)

In the blog, it is mentioned that High Sierra VM is created by cloning a Sierra VM then installing High Sierra Upgrade Utility and upgraded. Also, disable the option to use Apple File System while upgrading.

Yep, cloned a new 10.12.6 VM, and Parallels is at 12.2.1.
Reboots to macOS each time I run the latest High Sierra installer.
Tried having it prompt for boot drive on reboot, that didn't work either.
With High Sierra Beta 5 and 6, neither offer the opportunity to disable the new HD format.
Earlier High Sierra Beta versions give you a checkbox.
At least that's what I'm seeing.

Guess I was looking for someone to say. "Yes it's a known issue and we are working on it. Be Patient." Or "Thanks! we didn't know that, can you submit a bug report to help us address. " Which is it?

Installation worked fine (including upgrading to the Apple File System APFS) but final reboot failed. I will try again without APFS.
