    When clicking the start button for a virtual machine, the window doesn't 'flip' -- nothing happens for a few seconds, then the beachball arrives. And that's it. Stuck. Hung. This happens with Boot Camp, WindowsXP.pvs and OpenSTEP.pvs.

    When I try to force quit, the Finder posts a "Pllels quit while unresponsive" message, but Pllels is still there in the Force Quit Applications window and in the App Switcher. About 1 in 3 force-quits causes a Kernel Panic.

    I've tried this under two OSes -- 10.5.2 and 10.5.5 (both on different HDs) and, yes, I've repaired permissions, uninstalled, re-installed...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Just done it again. I thought it might have been the .pvs's, but this happened when trying to install Vista. Went through the set up new machine screens, then as soon as the Pllels VM tries to start, hang, force-quit, kernel panic.

    What you can see in
    * Archive of /Library/Parallels/bugreports/
    or ~/Library/Parallels/bugreports/

    * /Library/Logs/panic.log
    or ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Parallels.crash.log from the Mac side;

    Hi John --

    The only things I can find are two .panic logs -- the above, and this one, from the same crash yesterday:

    I've uninstalled 3.0 and re-installed... no luck.

    John -- I've had a look --

    In ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Parallels.crash.log there are no reports later than 13th August...(attached here. It may be the same crash.)

    in ~/Library/Parallels/bugreports/ there's only an empty folder called 'explorer'

    in */Library/Parallels/bugreports/ theres a .log from 13th August (attached).

    No sound Applications (though Garage Band must be on there somewhere)...

    Yes, two video cards -- only one is connected (ATi X1900 w. two monitors).
