    Hello,

I'm using a 2.16 ghz dual intel imac with Parallels Build 3188 and windows xp 2002 sp2 with a plantronics DSP 500 headset. The sound is warbled on listening and recording. I've tried different pieces of software and updated the drives from the plantronics site. The headset was fine on the osx side.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Reb

Oh goody, so I'm not alone :)

I wish I could just switch between the two because it's such a hassle to use the headset on the Mac and then on the VM and then on the mac again. No, I wish companies would wake up and start making mac software because I loathe even having to run windows. It's so bulky and clunky.

    warbled sound fixed!

Okay, I can't take credit for this because I found it on this board through a google search and I have since lost the link. Do this to make the sound work through a headset:

Reset all incoming and outgoing sound in the windows control panel to default device. In my case it was Intel(r) Integrated Audio.

    Shut down windows.

Set your default device for the incoming and outgoing audio on osx to the headset.

    Start up windows.

Then it works. Works good for me to then I don't have to worry about fussing with the sound.

Now to just get these software developers to make mac software...........
