Unable to activate Parallel Desktop 17

    I downloaded parallels desktop 17 and tried to activate it with my 17 license, but it says I must upgrade in order to proceed

    Please check my account

    Hello Eric,
    Thank you for reaching out.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Shut down the Virtual Machine. Make sure that the virtual machine is shut down. If it is in a suspended state, please run it and then shut down (Actions > Shut Down).
    2. In the Mac menu bar, click the Parallels Desktop icon -> select "Quit Parallels Desktop".
    3. Quit Parallels Desktop by right-clicking on Parallels Desktop icon on the dock and select "Quit".
    4. Open your "Applications" folder and drag the Parallels Desktop icon into the "Trash".
    5. Empty the "Trash".
    6. Reboot your Mac.
    7. Download Parallels Desktop 17 using the following link: https://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd17
    8. Double-click on the downloaded file and press "Install".
    9. During the installation, a window will open offering to use Parallels Desktop 19, close the window.
    10. In the next window, select Use Current Version.
    11. Finish the installation and run Parallels Desktop 17.
