    Hi,
can i use older Windows 10 pvm (taken from backups, instead of the current one) with the same Parallels version? I intended to replace it...
    Thanks.

    Dear @robbie1,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Kindly note that the PVM file is the Parallels Virtual Machine file that contains all files necessary for a virtual machine. You can indeed periodically backup the PVM file and use a copy of it to start your Virtual Machine in case the current Windows run into some issues.
However, this process might need the user to manually initiate the copying process at regular intervals to keep the backup up to date.

To ensure a hassle-free and automated experience, we would advise using Parallels Desktop built-in backup functionality such as Smartguard and Snapshot.

    Thank you.
